Embodied Breath: Journey Through the Body
The Ocular Belt of Tension
Soften tension. Cultivate deeper awareness.
Stress, emotion, protective patterns and life experiences can show up not only in how we think and feel, but in how we breathe, move, brace, hold and express ourselves.
There are seven belts of tension in the body - areas where physical and emotional tension may accumulate and where habitual patterns of holding can develop.
This session focuses on the ocular belt of tension which includes the eyes, forehead, and muscles surrounding them. Through conscious breath, somatic awareness, and guided exploration, we’ll notice patterns of tension, vigilance, and effort and invite greater softness and ease. Come explore what becomes possible when you soften your gaze and deepen your awareness of yourself and the world around you.
Everyone is welcome! No breathwork experience necessary.
